Fallen Firefighter’s Memorial services

Every October, the Foundation sponsors the official national tribute to all firefighters who died in the line of duty during the previous year. Thousands attend the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend in Emmitsburg, Maryland. 13 cameras cover the two memorial services. Clip is a 2:30 highlights used as a roll-out at the end of the final service.

ImageMakers PSA by WIFV for DRNA

Image Makers is a program that teaches high school students in the DC/MD/VA area how to create, film and edit a public service announcement for a local non-profit. In 2011, WIFV DC's Image Makers group produced three PSAs including this one for Dachshund Rescue of North America (DRNA). This PSA was shot in one day in Interface Media Group Studio B by Peter Roof in 720P.

A Policeman’s Life - Pul

Afghan-Americans contribute to every sector of American society and none is more important than the key area of law enforcement. Host Mariam Atash Nawabi sits down with Wyce Babar, an Afghan-American policeman in Prince George's County, Maryland for a behind the scenes look at police work and to discuss the day-to-day challenges of being a police officer.

Production was accomplished with two Panasonic HPX170 cameras recording tapeless to P2 cards. Mike Broleman and Peter Roof were the photographers. In addition, two point-of-view HD cameras were mounted in the officer’s cruiser to capture additional angles as he patrolled the town. Another angle included dynamic car-to-car video in the streets of Riverdale.

A visit to the home of an Afghan-American family in the Washington DC area where we learn how they observe Ramadan. Two Panasonic HPX170 cameras covered the worship, preparations, and celebration of the “Iftar” dinner that breaks the fast at the end of the day during the month of Ramadan.

The Afghan Sports Federation brought Afghan-American athletes to the Washington DC area to compete. Alt Gogo covered the day with two Panasonic HPX170 P2 tapeless cameras along with some HMI lighting.

Peter Roof of Alt Gobo ran his Panasonic HPX170 camera using a 1.8x lens extender to get the closeups of the leads. Another HPX170 and HVX200 were used to capture the performance.


Laura Bush interview for Afghanistan TV program

Former First Lady Laura Bush sat down to discuss her enduring commitment to fighting for the rights of Afghan women and girls. The interview is a part of the program “PUL” – a weekly public interest program, recorded in the United States for broadcast throughout Afghanistan. Two Panasonic HPX170 cameras recorded the interview in a gallery at the Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington DC.
